About
Greetings and Welcome dear visitor:
A brief biography?
Raised in the heart of the heart of the country (Chicago/Midwest), I've worked and studied in Illinois, Florida, Paris, and Arizona. I'm currently a research director in the Applied Learning Technologies Institute (alt^I) at Arizona State University.

I'm an e-systems designer/researcher on e-learning systems, with an interest in emergent and distributed knowledge. By night and weekend, I pursue that interest as an ABD learner at Capella University (committee: Rod Sims, Elena Kays, Patricia McGee).

There's so much more, so many facets of the ordinary life and average world citizen.
I learn, I share, I love, I worry about war, poverty, the environment, the next generation and what we're leaving them.

I ponder, I read, I dream.
I pay my bills, buy groceries, do laundry. Chop wood, carry water - as the Buddhists say.
How does one divide it up and put it on e-paper?
A bio should be a complex, multimedia slideshow, reflecting the kaleidoscope of the individual's contributions. But I can't imagine creating such with the free moments I have, so I hope this brief peek into 'Colleen' will suffice.
